✨ A Fresh Look, Same Heart
Big things are happening around here—and I’m so excited to finally share the new look and feel of See Things Closer Photography!
After my announcement this winter about leaving my full job in Marketing in Higher Education at Washington University and leaning into my role as a new mom and family photographer, this rebrand is more than a fresh coat of paint. It’s a reflection of who I’ve grown into as a photographer and a creative over these last nine years—someone who believes that the most important moments aren’t posed, perfect, or planned. They’re the in-between ones: precious belly laughs, quiet snuggles, and the beautiful, messy real life. After two of the hardest years of my life with healing from three jaw surgeries and now having a beautiful daughter, I’m forever changed. I see life differently and I want you to as well. There’s so much joy in the mundane life we’ve been given.
You’ll notice new colors, playful fonts, and a tagline that perfectly captures what I believe photography is really about:
Today is tomorrow’s nostalgia.
Because these are the days you’ll want to remember—not just how they looked, but how they felt.
As cliche as it sounds, one day, the moments you’re living right now will be the stories your family tells. My work is about preserving those stories & a reminder to live in the moment. I want your photos to be a reminder of the blessings you have in front of you despite the exhaustion. To press pause, soak it in, and keep your focus on what matters most. Because when you see things closer, you love them even more deeply.
This rebrand is also a love letter to my clients—past, present, and future. You’re not just hiring me to take photos; you’re trusting me to notice what matters most to your family. I’ll still be doing things the way I always have: with honesty, connection, and a whole lot of heart. But I’m also bringing you new ways to engage with your kids through memory-making ideas (stay tuned for my new email series “The Good Ol’ Days”!), along with updated sessions that reflect the magic of everyday family life. Life is precious and I hope my work reminds you to never take for granted what is right in front of you.
Thank you for being here. I’m so grateful to grow alongside the families I photograph—and I can’t wait to help you see things a little closer, too.
